Fyllan – Changing the Reservations Game for Good

Fyllan is a restaurant reservation platform that flips the traditional booking model. Instead of charging restaurants fees, customers pay upfront to secure the best seats — eliminating no-shows and increasing revenue for the restaurant. Wiselogix built and maintains Fyllan’s WordPress-powered web presence.

The challenge

Restaurants were losing money to no-shows and unfair fees.

Traditional reservation platforms charge restaurants high fees just to let customers book on their own website. No-shows cost restaurants real revenue with no accountability. Fyllan needed a platform and web presence that communicated a bold new model clearly and drove sign-ups from restaurant owners.

No-show problem

Restaurants had no way to hold customers accountable for missed reservations, leading to lost revenue every night.

Fee-heavy platforms

Existing booking tools charged restaurants per-cover or subscription fees, cutting into already-thin margins.

No control over pricing

Restaurants couldn’t set dynamic seat pricing based on demand or time of day.

Our approach

Build a site that makes a bold idea instantly understood.

Fyllan’s concept is simple but counterintuitive — restaurants pay nothing, customers pay to book. That message had to land in seconds. Our approach focused on clear visual storytelling, a logical page hierarchy that walks restaurant owners through the value before asking them to sign up, and a clean WordPress build that stays fast and easy to update. Every section was written and structured to remove doubt and move visitors toward action.

WordPress Development

Built on WordPress with WPBakery, giving the Fyllan team full control to update listings, content, and restaurant profiles without touching code.

Messaging Architecture

Structured the site around the restaurant owner’s biggest objections — fees, no-shows, loss of control — and answered each one clearly before the CTA.

Conversion-Focused Layout

Designed the “How It Works” flow as a 4-step visual journey so restaurant owners immediately grasp how deposits, bookings, and check-ins work end to end.

How we delivered it

A 6-week build, focused on clarity and conversion.

  • Week 1–2
  • Discovery & Site Planning

Mapped Fyllan’s core value propositions, identified the target audience (independent restaurant owners), and planned the full page structure — home, how it works, restaurants, about, partners, and contact. Defined tone, messaging hierarchy, and CTA strategy.

  • Week 3
  • Design & Wireframes

Created wireframes for all key pages with a focus on the “How It Works” step flow and the zero-fee value proposition. Approved visual direction: bold, friendly, and benefit-led.

  • Week 4
  • WordPress Development

Built the site on WordPress using WPBakery. Developed all pages, navigation, and mobile-responsive layouts. Integrated contact and sign-up forms for restaurant partner acquisition.

  • Week 5
  • Content Integration & Refinement

Populated all pages with final copy, images, and section content. Refined the 4-step booking flow visuals, benefits icons, and restaurant-facing messaging. Reviewed across devices.

  • Week 6
  • Testing, Launch & Handover

Full QA across browsers and screen sizes, form testing, performance checks, and DNS go-live. Handed off to the Fyllan team with CMS training so they can manage content independently.
